Farmers Branch Historical Park

Each weekend we try to discover something fun and unique in our new home.  This weekend we found a real gem!:)  Farmers Branch Historical Park

The Park features homes from Texas history including log cabins of the most basic variety to a GORGEOUS Victorian mansion.  Summers are probably more busy with camps and whatnot, but we found it a beautiful place to enjoy learning new things and plenty of space to let the boys get some energy out!  They had a one room school house that we could explore, along with a sleeper car that you could peek in and of course my boys had to pretend to drive it.  There was a general store, a train station, and a gas station as well, plus a large picnic area...  So grab some grub and take your family on a fun free outing over to the Farmers Branch Historical Park!:)

Located in Farmers Branch just NE of 635 & I-35E, it's just under an hour from where we live right now.
Here's a link to a map of where it is: https://maps.google.com/maps?q=farmers+branch+historical+park&ll=32.919169,-96.89199&spn=0.010537,0.01929&fb=1&gl=us&hq=farmers+branch+historical+park&cid=0,0,15928344900984148288&t=m&z=16&iwloc=A
